The apps collect nothing

Learning Arcade does not collect, store or share any information about children, parents or teachers. Stickers, settings, progress and which texts have been read are saved only on the device being used, and can be cleared in the teacher settings or by clearing the browser's website data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking cookies and no advertising.

Working offline

All questions, texts, pictures and games are built into the apps. After an app has been opened once, it does not need the internet. The apps contain no links to other websites or social media, and no chat. Read-aloud uses the voice built into the device.

Buying and unlocking

Purchases are made on a secure payment page run by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the seller and take the payment. They collect the details needed to take payment and email the unlock code, under their own privacy policy. Hurst Interactive does not see or store card details.

When an unlock code is typed into an app, or opened from an unlock link, the app sends that code, and the type of device (iPad, Android tablet or computer) with today's date, to Lemon Squeezy once, to check that it is valid. Nothing about the child is sent. Once unlocked, the app remembers this on the device and works offline.

This website

The website itself does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted by Netlify, which, like any web host, keeps ordinary server logs (such as the time of a visit and an IP address) for security and to keep the service running.

Device features

The apps use the touch screen, mouse or keyboard to play, and the speaker for sound. They do not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos.

Children's privacy

Learning Arcade is made for children aged 5 to 11. Because no data about children is collected, there is nothing to view, export or delete.
